He is MA in Economics by University of Barcelona and MSc and PhD by the London School of Economics. His professional experiences include the Catalan Agency for Health Technology Assessment and Research, the Catalan Institute of Health, the International University of Catalonia, the SENY Foundation for research into mental health and the CIBERESP (Joint Research Network in Epidemiology and Public Health in Spain). His research interests and major publications focus on policy analysis, economic analysis, needs assessment and wellbeing.
